Dit kan zijn op Bagdad en Basra na een grootste plaats over Irak.[2] De plaats telt verdere vervolgens een miljoen inwoners en kan zijn na de invasie aangaande Irak in 2003 opgebloeid tot een meest welvarende plaats met Irak.
